Look at all these yummy veggies! the kids picked these all in one hour. They were so proud of them selves. The carrots were especially taxing to pick because for some reason we had to dig them all out individually this year,we've never had to do it that way before but they kept breaking in half. It was fun and this isn't even all that we have left to pick or any of what we've picked already. Garden's are fun and a good way to help the kids learn to eat their veggies. ( jaxson swears that he'll only eat veggies that he helped grow because the rest are sick)

They all started sweet and serious but got really silly by the end of pictures. The Carrot in Jaxsons mouth was the biggest we've ever grown and they named it Goliath. (the blue tape on the wall in the background are reminders of paint touch-ups)

Jax picked out all his own clothes this year and I think he did a pretty good job. Green was his favorite color of choice.

Eva was so excited to be in a real "fashion show" She couldn't even wait to get her hair done, she just wanted to show daddy her new clothes!
(as you can see daddy was watching Seinfeld inbetween the outfit changes)

Carter was feeling a little left out so he started coming out with the kids' shoes on and modeling them like he was on the runway. Funniest thing ever he is such a silly kid!

Sleepy Heads

Our house was super hot one night so we put the big fan in our room and let all the kids camp out on our bed. I didn't actually get a pic of all the kids on our bed together because as I was getting the camera out Eva walked out into the living room and sat on the couch with Dave. She Didn't talk or anything just fell asleep so serenely like a true princess. Poor thing she didn't look comfortable at all her face was flushed and her hair matted. (but we -being the good parents that we are left her there long enough to get a picture. :) Then I went in and got the pic of the boys in our bed.

Doesn't he look hot and miserable? Poor baby! I think next year we will have to invest in an A/C unit.

Poor hot babies. It was something like 86 degrees IN our house that night. :(
Isn't it funny how they fell asleep right by each other and legs all intertwined - it was too hot to wear normal PJ's but not too hot to sleep with legs all twisted up? Funny kiddos.

Doesn't she look so funny? We didn't move her at all, that's just how she fell asleep. What a silly girl! We had a good laugh.


P.S.- The sheets and comforter that are on our bed in those pics with the boys are the same ones that Carter took a black Sharpie to just a few days later. Sad. I really like that set. :( I cried, but he was pretty proud that he didn't get any on himself- which is a milestone because every time we color he is what gets colored! I guess you have to be grateful for the small things right? At least he's learning, lol :)
