Contractions
I was up all night with contractions-- no big deal right? braxton-hicks happen all the time. . . but these were getting really regular. So regular, in fact, that I packed the kids a bag full of school clothes and jammies, set it by the door and woke Dave. The contractions were still about 15 minutes apart so we waited and got the kids off to school and got cleaned up ourselves and then without any notice they stopped. Just like that. the end. Soooo sad! I really let myself get my hopes up. I was totally ready to get this show on the road. Hopefully we won't have many more false alarms like that before the real thing, but at least now we're really ready. . . bags packed and everything (I always wait to do that until the very last minute) :)

Bowling FHE
Jumping Jax in motion ( he loved this!) Very first Strike of the GAME!
Eva got the first Spare :)
I laugh everytime I see this pic. Her form is sooo not bowler-ish! She would hurry and Run up to the line then drop the ball hard--"ker-plunk" everytime. Funny Princess.
Sharkey the Master Bowler! I loved this pic they looked so cute together!
Getting geared up ( they all wanted to keep the special shoes)

Walking in together.
We went bowling for Family Home Evening this week ( it was Jaxson's turn to pick the activity). We had a lot of fun and laughs too. Needless to say even with the bumper lanes none of us are great bowlers, but we had a good time regardless. Sharkey actually won with a tied high score with Daddy of 99. He was super proud of himself! It was cute. He then got to pick what we ate for dinner and of course he picked chicken nuggets (even though the other kids were trying to convince him that pizza hut would be better). After bowling we went to Mcdonalds and got happy meals. It was a really fun night and a special treat because we got to be with our Daddy all night (until bedtime--- we haven't been seeing him too often because of his school/work schedule)! Hooray for families :)
Nesting?
Carter is holding the dolly and the dolly layette set and Eva is holding the baby's layette set and her matching Pajama's. Sooo cute! Evy and Carter hanging out with the baby's quilt.
The quilt I made for the baby. It's kind of hard to see in this pic but I love it, it turned out cute.

The Crib with the layettes on it. All ready to go. Just needs a little one ;)
We have been anxiously awaiting the coming of this little baby and as a result I believe I am beginning to 'nest'. I've got the house cleaned up (mostly- as good as it's gonna get haha), I made the baby a quilt, I've got the baby blankets and clothing washed folded and put away tons of cases of diapers and wipes bought and the bassinet and crib set up and ready to go. This year I took it the whole nesting thing to a whole new level--Halloween costumes are all ready and have been for about a month and I've already got Carter's birthday shopping and the Christmas shopping all complete (just need to wrap it all). Not bad right? Considering Carter's birthday is after Thanksgiving and Christmas is a whole month after that. haha. Dave thinks its pretty silly, but needless to say we are ready. When this little baby finally comes all we will have to do is enjoy her! I think I went a little crazier with the whole nesting thing this time because Carter was born three weeks early and I didn't really have ANYthing ready at all. Go figure (watch this girl be super late, boo! I hope not, I am ready now ;p)
Although, She does need to wait just a little while still, because Dave is headed to St Louis this weekend for some Hockey Games with friends and it would be really sad to have a baby with him away. (he's had this planned since before we were pregnant and he'd be devastated to miss it) So. . . I calculated it and if she comes exactly as early as Carter did she will be here in time for Halloween (the 28th). Which would be great--- as long as she doesn't come on Halloween because I am so excited to dress up with the kids this year. (Dave's gonna dress up too! for the first time ever since he was in grade school!) If she's born on Halloween that would mess up the whole Dave-costume-thing and he's fairly certain he wouldn't do it next year because he's already sad he promised me he'd do it this year :)
My mom's been helping me as well- she's so funny she found layette sets for the baby and she bought one set in premie size (for Eva's Dolly) and one in regular 0-3 month size (for the baby) and then she searched around and found matching PJ's for Eva. Evy can't wait! I can't wait either because I think it will make for some absolutely darling pictures!

Grandparents Day!
Eva doing one of the Grandparents day art projects. (loving all the attention!) This is the after pic (they showed up in wrong order the before is next) my mom was totally disgusted we laughed really hard, what a funny boy he's always up to something He sure thought he was funny.
This was the before pic I asked Carter to smile and he did this, Mommers tried to hurry and save the picture but it was too late! Silly kid.

Eva's class did a little program for grandparents/'special friends' day. My mom came to support her even though she had just had minor heart surgery a few days earlier. Eva loved having Mommer there and the little performance was cute. They all sang some cute little songs and said some poems they'd learned then all the grandparents and kids had refreshments and went to the classrooms and did art projects together. (My camera's batteries were dead and I didn't know it until we got there so I took a few pics with our video cam, but I didn't think of that until after the program.)

SOCCER!
Pretty New Hairdo!
View from the frontBack view
Close up view-- but kind of blurry, sorry we were trying to hurry to get to school and I guess I didn't bother to focus very well.
I tried something new with Eva's hair and it turned out sooo cute I just had to brag. She really has the best hair. (which she really wants to cut into a short a-line up to her chin :( I haven't let her yet. . . in fact we just cut it about 3 inches and she cried at the salon because it wasn't short-- isn't that so mean?!?) I told her that after the baby is born and we get our family pictures done if she still wants to cut it she can and she can donate it to Locks of Love or whatever-- but I really hope that she'll forget about it by then, because it's so pretty long.
All I want for Christmas. . .
The tooth is out!
Papa saves the day :)

The ball hanging from the tooth
Sooooo-wiggly most stubborn tooth ever!
That's right! Jax has no front teeth. It's been about two and a half weeks now because I'm so slow but he's sure proud of his empty smile. He lost his first front tooth about a month or so ago and that was soo fun for him. This front tooth was so loose we thought for sure that it would be lost within days of the first but for some reason it just kept hanging on. It was almost enough to make you sick. It was soooo wiggly and dangly I can't explain it and the pictures don't really show it but I was so sick of looking at it one day I tied some floss around it and told him to wiggle it out. I of course knew it would be all of five minutes and the offending tooth was out for good. Well two hours later Jax tied a ball to the floss and was swinging it around and still nothing. SICK! I cut the floss off before bed and he went to school the next two days with it still so dangly. On the third day he was carrying a big book on his way to get in the car for school and he banged his mouth on it. The tooth was even less attached and really sore now. He was crying and I couldn't take it anymore so I dropped Eva off to school and took Jax to my Dad's office where he put topical anesthetic on it and popped it out in a matter of minutes. Finally the dang tooth was out! Hooray! Jax now has a fun "tooth story" for his posterity.
