Thanksgiving was fun and a little stressful. We Went up to the cabin in Island Park, but it was our year to spend the holiday with Dave's family, so we spent most of our time at ther cabin which was really fun. I learned to play 'ticket-to-ride' and even won once! The thing that made the weekend insane (for me at least) was that we left Jax and Eva with Grandma and Grampa Wilson while Dave,Sharkey and I went to my parents cabin to unload the truck. Well. . . master Jaxson told Grandma that he had "seen' Jurassic Park 3 the movie before- of course meaning he had 'seen the cover' at my parents house. Well, Gramma being the nice thing that she is let them watch it. Yep MY 6 yr old and 4yr old! Crazy! So she felt really bad when they were all curled up in her lap in tears because they were scared. So needless to say that night no one slept much. I sang primary songs pretty much all night long to my trembling sleepy little dino-phobic babies. It was sooooo sad. They would fall asleep for about 15 minutes or so and the wake up screaming about scary dinosaurs. Bless her little heart. It was so fun and I was really happy the next day ( which was the actual thanksgiving day) :( k, maybe not so happy. I was a wreck, exhausted short tempered and soooooo very greatfull to go home that night and cut the trip short.

The absolute highlight of the trip was our little fishing excursion to Macks Inn. They were catching fish on every cast! It was great Eva even caught some and touched the a worm. Carter played in the snow and screamed and ran everytime we showed him a fish ( he must get that from me). It was funny. We had a really great time.

Halloween!

fun fun fun! We had such fun! I love halloween I was a witch and my sister did my makeup and gave me a wart and I looked really scary! Jaxson was "a Ghost with a Bone through his head" that was his idea from the beginning and I was skeptical (but it turned out great!). Eva was the Beautiful Snow White (of course) and Carter was our trusty Fireman ( so cute!). What a funny day. It was really fun. THere ware pics with our fun sister in law Jen carving Pumpkins and some with the kids at Farrells too. They Love him so much!

That is how I feel Today. Lots to do and no motivation. Six kids running rampant, cold weather so nobody wants to stay outside very long and lots of housework and year end office stuff to do. Where's my magic wand? Sometimes I wish I could wiggle my nose like on bewitched and be one with it all :)

Halloween Anticipation

Halloween is going to be so funny this year! I am really excited. Jaxson has decided that he is going to be a "ghost with a bone through his head" funny! Dave and I both tried for the last two months to convince him to be something (anything) else but he's very determined, so I can't wait to see his costume on him. . . it's going to be hilarious! Eva is going to be Snow White. Poor Eva- my mom has tons of costumes in her play room so I told her she had to pick one of them to be this year- or she could wear one of last years dance costumes (because she has like 20). I couldn't rationalize spending MORE money on costumes. Poor picked on EVA. She'll get over it lol :) So anyway she picked Snow White because my mom has matching red sparkly shoes so that's super fun. haha she's silly. Promptly after picking her costume she let me know that this year I need to dress up ( I haven't for a few years) and that I GET to be the wicked step mother from Snow White. funny. So yes I will be dressd as the wicked step mother from Snow White ("the ugly one with the apple" according to Eva) Isn't that nice? I think so too. I'm excited I got a plastic Wart nose at the store-- Jax picked it out. It's very fitting. We've been sick for nearly 6 weeks now so I'm a little "witch-like" I suppose. Haha j/k, but I AM SO TIRED OF SICKNESS, Sick kids are the worst, well maybe just when you're the sick mommy. Moving on. . . I got off on a tangent there but anyways, Halloween will be awesome. Carter is going to be a firefighter (I found a stinking cute outfit at a garage sale this summer!) Dave is going to be a NERD. Literally. He's not gonna dress up so Jax and I got him some "coke bottle" glasses to accentuate it. So silly wilsons! Well I can't wait its gonna be fun and hopefully I'll get some pic's posted before Christmas, but no promises.

BUSY!

WE are GREAT

WE are doing so great. I am so happy to say we have been very busy but more importantly very blessed. we've had a wonderful summer. we love you all and hope to update this more soon. :)

Random silliness

Today was a funny day. . . tons of rain and cloudy skies all morning, nice and sunny for an hour at lunch, then more rain and then nice and sunny for 2 hours around dinner. CRAZY! I am so ready to be done with all the rain and cold but at least we are getting an hour or two here and there if it must rain and be cold!

We are getting sod this weekend for our back yard and Dave is done with FINALS tomorrow around 10 am! I can't wait--- poor guy thinks he's gonna get a break because schools out but I have tons for him to do! I've been a single mom long enough haha.

The kids are almost done earning their FORT, which is probably as much for me as it is for the kids! I think I am more excited than they are because it means I just might get a break now and then. (HOORAY!) Not that I mind being the main jungle gym the majority of the time haha.j/k

Jax had lots of energy yesterday night before we went to my sister's choir concert so I dropped him off on a side street and drove beside him as he ran. I told him any time he felt like he wanted to be done he could get in the car. . . the boy is like the energizer bunny! He ran 9 city blocks! ---all without stopping and he probably would have kept going but the side street turened into a main street so I made him get in the car. I was amazed. Maybe I just need to take up running again and I'd have myself a partner.

Eva is silly she changes at least 11 times a day and that includes at least two different swimsuits/leotards each day. She's all girl and I love it!

Sharkey is funnier everyday. Last night at the concert my brother Nathan yelled "nice shoes!" to my sister Krista (because she was wearing converse low tops with her fancy choir robe) and she was getting ready for a solo and Carter yelled right after Nate. "nice shoes!" in just the same manner as nathan had. Krista about messed up her solo because she was laughing so hard. It was pretty funny. (oops, sorry Kris?!) What a silly boy! We sure have loved having him as part of our family.
