funny kids

these kids are so silly! we decorated for christmas the other day and had just a blast. It was great. THe kids are so into the whole santa thing right now they are just loving it (and so are we in return) in this picture Carter was really ready for bed but I couldn't let him go without getting at least one pic so yes, we tortured him- we made him wear a stocking for a hat and held him for a picture. oops mommy's mean. Oh well it's history in the making :)The funny thing is that that hat he's wearing is the same hat he was in for the pictures last year. it's amazing the difference a year can make!Last year his whole body fit in it just fine and this year only his head. (they grow too fast!)

bah hum bug!

today was one of those days when somethings in the air making all the kids and everything CRAZY! I sooooo wanted to throw something or someone threw a wall! But alas it is nearly over and finals are next week so then dave will be around and I won't have to be a widow/single mom any more and hopefully I'll be able to run away somewhere ( at least for a night and just be a person by myself for a while!)
I hate days like this where I lose my cool at the kids, somedays I wonder WHY WHY WHY???? it's not that hard just do it please, stop hitting/hurting/teasing etc. It is so funny how it all builds up and lack of sleep never helps. Someday I will sleep through the night again and that might really be fun. . .don't really remember that. . . as far as I'm concerned sleep's over-rated and apparently I'm doing ok thus far. . .or am I? Maybe that's part of the problem. :) I know a huge part of my problem is that our house is still not finished and I am in it 24/7 and can't do a thing about it because I either don't have the $ or the know how to do it myself. I can't wait for Dave to be done with school and to NEVER EVER EVER have to live in a fixer-upper, unfinished house again. I never thought I could hate something that I actually love and am thankful for. . . but I really hate "projects" these days. I think alot of my pentup frustration is that Dave is gone from 7:30am until 10 or 11 pm and I am hereall day with the kids alone. . . and it's freezing outside so we stay inside alot and we are quickly outgrowing the "finished" portion of our house. I can't wait to get the basement less scary so we can play down there!
What a lovely rant session?!?! sheesh kind of a complainer . . . I guess I would probably vent all these things to dave usually but he can't listen to all this right now he's got to stay focused and it's just a bad day anyway everythig is typically fine, we are very blessed!

(everything was pink of course :)She had a fun day and got to waer the birthday dress she picked out herself so that was a special treat.

T-Ball and Trophies

Jax played his second season of t-ball this spring and it was really fun this year. He had a great coach and good buddies in his team. The team had their pizza party/ awards ceremony at Outer limits fun zone and Jax got the most home run award and a neat trophy with the teams pictures. The other kids all had tons of fun and we had lots of left over pizza because they were so busy playing!

a Two-wheeler and a dancing queen

Jax learned to ride a two wheeler in April and he was mighty proud of himself! (we've walked/rode everywhere and have already replaced three flat tires! our neighborhood apparently has large amounts of goatheads - but daddy got OOZE filled intertubes now so we should be good:)) He learned to ride with Dave's help in all of five minutes. It was really cute to see how proud Dave was of him! He fell and skinned his knee pretty good but he didn't even cry he just got back on and kept going. All the time he was learning Eva was prancing around in her tinkerbell swimming suit from Mommers and talking on her "cell" phone That very next day we took him to ISU campus and he was going down hills and taking jumps and racing us on our rollerblades! He's a tough kid to beat.

Jax's Big #5

Jax turned five in Feb. and I thought I had posted some pictures and stuff but I guess I didn't save it or something so here's some fun pics of his awesome first ever birthday party with friends! We went to the fun zone called OUTER limits and hasd pizza, the kids played for hours in the "fun-maze" (indoor play arena) and then ate cake and icecream and won tons of tickets in the arcade. It was lots of fun and some of our cousins and friends came too!

3/24 Carter Rolls!`

Carter rolled twice in one day and then not again for another few days so here's the first pictures of his new trick which he was sooo proud of.

I want to be a Missionary NOW!

(I'm not sure why it put this picture on twice and I'm not sure how to fix it so that's why it's still here)

Jaxson loves his scriptures, loves to read them, carry them to church etc. . . so one night he and I were waiting up for Dave to come home from class or the library and Jax was "reading" ( looking through) his Book of Mormon while he was waiting. I went downstairs to switch the laundry and found him like this when I came back up. What a good little example he is! Everyday these kids inspire me to do better BE better. Eva goes to our neighbor Farrell's house and read him scriptures 2-3 times a week and they invite him to church every week. They really are special spirit's saved for these latter days and I'm so honored to be able to raise them.

BANGS!

this one's before the cut. . . and the next one is really blurry but if you look you can kind of see the BANGS:) The last picture is of the back of her hair before the cut and we cut another two inches off and got it in an A-Line-- very grown up!

I swore I'd never do it but I have. . . EVA got BANGS! And they look pretty cute. She decided that she didn't like her hair in her face and was always pulling out clippy's or losing them all over. And so it was really weird to get used to seeing her with bangs but I don't mind them now, and she's much happier too.

Bestest buddies!

The kids have been so funny lately they've wanted to sleep in our bed to be together and read books and talk at bed time. We don't usually do that but a few times we have and two times wjen they've done this when we go in to move them to their beds they're holding hands! how cute is that?! Yes well I didn't get my camera fast enough the first time but I ran fast the last time and here it is . . . pretty stinkin' darling (if I must say so myself).

Cold wet wet wet spring!

All of March(and April and May and some of June) was pretty much freezing and wet/snowy so we had to come up with lots of fun things to do. On this day the kids were particularly bored and I was taking a phone call from the dental office-- needless to say they found something to do! They were in the process of unrolling a roll of wrapping paper when I got off the call. I was frustrated but couldn't really get mad (it wasn't their fault it'd been winter 2 months too long and they were being ignored by mom) So instead of rolling the paper back up and wrinkling it to bits, I got out the markers and crayons and we colored for almost two hours! What a fun thing this turned out to be. They drew treasure maps, family portraits, beautiful drawings and a little bit on each other-- more importantly, we got our minds off the rainy weather and laughed alot!

Evy's 2nd haircut ever!

Eva got her second haircut ever a few weeks ago. We cut off about 5 or so inches and she cried the whole time (again)! She wanted to have it cut and was excited to go to the salon with me but when she saw all her hair on the floor she got nervous I think. It was sad for her. . . but her haircut looks really cute and she loves it now because it doesn't get tangled nearly as bad. She loves that she can comb it all by herself now! What a CUTIE!

funny silly kids!

These cute kids do the funiest things sometimes. The blocks are built into "the Rexburg Temple" which we got to go walk through a few days before. The next picture is of Stego-Jax-a- saurus. Jax made the hat at preschool and was so happy about it they studied dinosaurs in preschool and went on a field trip to a dinosaur museum-- which was the best thing ever for Jax.
Carter's sleepy-pouty-dave lips are so cute. He does this alot while he's sleeping
Last is Eva wearing Daddy's hat-- she's such a daddy's girl! how fun these sweet little kids are!

Carter's Blessing Day

This was a wonderful day! Grandma Wilson made a bonnet, booties,Jacket and matching blanket for him to wear and Dave gave him the most beautiful blessing. After church we all went with family and friends to my parents house and had a luncheon. It was one of the best days ever I think! This little guy is so sweet and has such an amazing spirit about him, we've loved having him in our home :)

New Year's at the Cabin

We got to go to Island Park for new years with my parents. It was really relaxing the kids had a blast! Jax skiied with Papa and had snow fights and built a snow cave with Dave, we all went Ice fishing on the reservoir (mommy and Eva spent most of the time in the car because it was cold), Eva Danced in her new tu-tu from aunt Rachael, in fact she rarely took the tu-tu off the whole week. She danced, sledded, ice fished, ate, shopped, and even slept in the tu-tu she loves it soooo much! It was really funny.
