TOO BIG
So the other day Eva looked at me and in a slightly disgusted tone of voice told me that "you're kind of getting too big for all your clothes." Yes thank you princess obvious-- You made my day! ( Unfortunately not really-- just wait until you're having a kid and kind of getting too big for all your clothes!)

Goodbye messy tree!
We were supposed to go camping to Bear Lake with some of Dave's family in mid June but we got rained out so Dave's brother John and family came over for a BBQ instead. A they brought a chainsaw! We were so happy to have help cutting down the nasty crab-apple tree in the back of our yard by the swingset. I haven't minded the tree too much in the four years that we've lived here until last year when it started having tons of messy little inedible apples. It's always been an eyesore but never messy. Those yucky apples were the last straw for me (applesauce grass by the swingset was awful!). We had lots of fun talking and playing with the cousins too.
Shaving and the First Stinky
Both boys recently learned a lesson in Shaving! Carter learned the easy way and Jax chose a little bit harder route :)
(first shave)
Carter on the Big-boy potty for the first time. He was so proud of himself he squealed "I did a Stinky!" So cute and funny (sorry for the graphic pic).
(from the front)
(from the top--- yes it got a little bit razor burned and then sunburned and blistered/peely in the next few days- ouch!)
Carter was watching Dave shave one day and simply asked if he could shave too, so daddy put some shaving cream on his face and gave him a bladeless razor and let him go to it. He thought he was so big! Then Dave let him have a little after shave so he smelled just like daddy and Sharkey thought that was just the best! It was super cute and I did get a few pictures.
Jaxson on the other hand just took an extra long shower one Saturday and when he came out Dave asked him what he was doing for so long and Jax just told him "getting clean for church." What Jax didn't realize is that Daddy is about three feet taller than him and could see the top of his head ( which had a big bald spot). We didn't make a big fuss about it (probably because we were both trying so hard not to burst out laughing). It was super funny and he thought it was great until the next morning when he realized all his friends and teachers at church would get to see his lovely haircut. He tired to tell me sunday morning that he was sick and better stay home but I didn't let him stay of course and he got quite a bit of unwanted attention at church so I think it's safe to say he learned his lesson and won't do that again. He's so funny seems he loves to learn things the hard way. Silly boy.
Eva's Dance Recital 2010
This is Eva( front in the purple) at the dress rehearsal of the finale and my camera battery was dying so some of the pics turned out blurry.
Eva had her second year end dance recital in June. She loves dancing so much and is becoming quite graceful in her old age. ;) She was in four dances over two concert nights. He first dance was a tambourine ballet, the second was a Charlie Chaplin tap, and then she also did the groups' dinosaur dance to Queen Latifah's 'Do it like a Dinosaur' from Ice Age 3, and then they ended it all with a finale. (Which was darling and perhaps her favorite of all the dances).

Eva and Swan Lake
I took Eva to the Swan Lake Ballet the night Dave and the boys were at Father and Sons camping. It was really fun. Aunt Jenn Wilson and the Rimingtons girls came with us. We had lots of fun. We went to Taco Bell and ate before the Ballet (Eva's choice) I really was feeling quite poorly the entire night upset stomach and nausea but Eva was entranced with the Ballet and it made it sooo worth it! My cousin Anna was one of the lead dancers so we got to get a picture with a "real Ballerina" afterwards and Eva loved it so much! (we actually took quite a few pics before and after the Ballet but I couldn't find the ones with Jenn, the rimingtons and Anna :()
Memorial Day
Princess Eva and Daddy at Mesa Falls
Carter, Eva, Jaxson and Kena Above the falls
RAIN RAIN SNOW AND RAIN! It was areally long weekend. We went with our friends the Rimingtons to Island Park and stayed with Dave's parent's. We had fun but the weather and the fishing was terrible the entire weekend. We had to stay mostly indoors which was really hard on the kids because there's way more to do outside. We would play outside until we were frozen or soaking wet (usually both) then we would have to come in and dry out/ warm up. Thank goodness for Grandma's laundry facilities!
Jax class plays/ Last Day of School
Jax had three parts in this years plays 1. Main Narrator of three billy goats gruff, 2. Prince in Snow White, 3. Huntsman in Snow White. They did a really great job and had lots of fun. The plays were cute and well done as always. Mrs Rodriguez has been the best teacher ever! JAX HAS LOVED HER SO MUCH all the kids do. She's been his teacher for the last two years and he was so sad he cried the last day of school. She's really been wonderful. Eva is really excited to have her for the next two years and hopefully Jaxson's new teacher will be just as great.

Jaxson's first Swim Meet!
Jaxson competed in his first city swim meet the last Saturday of April. He swam in four different events and placed in two. He did great! He was competing with kids up to nine years old and he really held his own well (not to mention that he looked so cute in his uniform). There are about 80 kids on the "Tiger Aquatics Swim Team" and he was one of the smallest. I think there were only about 3 that were younger than him. He loved it and is anxious to compete more next year. He is a very natural swimmer, and of course only a little bit competitive. It's a good fit for him and we love that he loves it as much as he does.
