March fifth we took the kids to an ISU Basketball game with our sweet neighbor Farrell ( he has only missed 2 ISU games of any kind in the last 57 years!). The Kids had a blast and we all wore Orange and Black to show our support. The game was super fun we've been to several in the past but this was the final one this season, and they won by a three pointer in the last two seconds of overtime. It was great. The kids had a blast playing with Benny the Bengal ( ISU's mascot) eating popcorn, cheering with the cheerleaders, dancing to the band and Jax even caught an ISU T-Shirt. He was thrilled! I didn't take a pic though because it's a man's XL and it says "If I'm not wearing orange I'd rather be Naked" silly. He thought that was awesome. Eva wanted to catch something too so she danced and cheered her little heart out but in the end she just had to settle with a good time. Carter fell asleep on my shoulder during halftime so the poor baby kept getting startled awake everytime something happened. He survived and managed to stay pretty much asleep too:)

MAKEUP and NAIL POLISH!
Happy Birthday DR. SUESS!
March 2nd was Dr. Suess's birthday so Jaxson's class had a birthday party and ate Green eggs and ham and they got to come dressed as their favorite Dr. Suess Character. Jax chose The Cat in the Hat. He looked cute. I wish he'd have picked a different shirt to wear with his outfit, but we were running late so the Yellowstone Rattlesnake it was :)
Carter of course got in on the action with the St Patricks version, and then Eva wanted her picture taken "just because" so here they are too.

BIG 7 year old!
Poor Jax, nothin's worse than being sick on your birthday!
Jax turned seven a few weeks ago in the blur of February. What a great kid, when we asked him what he wanted for his birthday first he said books. I asked him "just books?" and he was like "oh yeah and maybe some rollerblades or heelys or something to play outside". So that is exactly what he got. BOOKS ( non-fiction of course) and some totally awesome rollerblades (and all the protective gear because mommy did the buying and she would rather spend money on that than the Emergency Room.) He also got some Awesome swim stuff (water bottle, official Michael Phelps swim cap, new jammers, goggles and a shark beach towl) for his upcoming swim competitions and practices.
Jax got to choose the menu that night and we ate Lasagna, with Garlic bread. I also started a fun new tradition this year by making his Cake! I had such fun making it and Jaxson loved it. I think it turned out quite good. I made an ocean cake complete with fish, snorkeler and a shark. I saw it in a book my friend Tiffany let me borrow. Once I saw it I knew it was perfect for Jax! It was carrot cake and the frosting was cream cheese -Jaxson's Favorite. The kids loved helping me make the fish and and rolling and coloring the fondant. Eva already has high hopes of this huge Princess Castle cake for her birthday ( but I am just a beginner so we'll see if that happens)
We had lots of company for the party, my parents, Aunt Krista, Barton Rachael and their kids Savanah, Vercein, and Alexus, Our Friend Tiffany Rimmington and her kids, Staci, Kaitlyn, Xander, and Brayden. The saddest thing is that when we were sitting down to eat the lasagna Jax all the sudden didn't feel good and went into the bathroom and threw up, then spent the rest of the night laying on the couch and didn't even eat any of his cake! Soooo sad. He did perk up a little for a few minutes to blow out the candles on his cake. He was a good sport, What a sweetheart!

Krista leaves for Ecuador on thursday, Brandon is feeling still terrible but a little better ( like he can walk around now) hopefully they will send him to the MAYO clinic soon and start getting some answers it's been over a month of testing and still nothing. FEBRUARY!
Wow can't believe it's March! February flew by. It was a good month for us, very busy. Jaxson turned seven last week - which is insane! So big! I will do a happy birthday Jax post soon, it was pretty great. Other stuff going on includes our basement is that much closer to getting finished and being such a wonderful play room. I sang in church twice last month which was totally fun for me. I haven't really sang that much recently and to be asked twice in one month was super fun. I actually was asked to sing again next week. Crazy. ummm, Carter gained two pounds bringing him to a whopping 22.5 pounds(we think he's looking chubby but he's barely hit the tenth percentile lol)! Eva has started a new 2 day a week preschool and has a dance competition next saturday. Spring break is in 12 days (I'm so excited I can barely stand it)! Dave turns thirty in two weeks, and our 8th anniversary is the end of the month! How neat to think it's been 8 funfilled years already. Well I will post more soon, but this is all for now :)

BASEMENT!
Our Basement is so SCARY! totally unfinished and full of spiders and other buglike invaders, I've never liked it ( and the kids are afraid to go down there). Well we have been cleaning it tons and working really hard to save some money so that we could attempt to de-gross it, and finally it is happening! It is all framed now and our good friend redid the plumbing and electrical! I am soooo excited to have a "pretty/clean" Laundry room ( I might actually Iron for once lol). Well last night I finished the insulation in the soon to be family/play room last night and now Dave just has to do the Drywall and we're ready for Carpet! Hooray hooray. Well I took some before and afters and will post them when I get them on this computer but it's a pretty striking contrast! to those who hasven't seen it--- it's very funny itt has very thick cement walls through out it and a series of "alice in wonderland doors" ( each door you walk through is about 6 inches shorter than the one before. It's kindof looks like it was made for a hobbit. Alas soon it will all be clean and done, what a very happy thing!

TAXES! TAXES! TAXES!
January is TAX season for me at the Office. I am responsible to file all the annual state and Federal, business/ payroll reports, Property taxes, as well as the W-2's and W-9's and 1099's (forms). Needless to say there is a lot of paperwork, filing, numbercrunching and just overall headache involved in January! Well I am very human and tend to procrastinate everything until later in the month because I dread it. ( If I start the fifteenth I can usually finish by 31st due date) Anyways, now that everyone is asleep, I have GREAT news. I'm Finished! Hooray, Hooray, Hooray! I'm super Psyched to be done and sooo early. I think this is the smoothest January has every gone and it's extra nice because now the last three days wont be the usual Nightmare and I may avoid my annual migraine. What a happy thought!
